A perfect pedicure in 6 steps
Tablets in shoes all day long, often neglected, the feet really need to be pampered! Today, your expert nail supplier Maryton will offer you some tips for performing a pedicure at home and find pretty soft feet.
Step 1: we take a foot bath
Immerse your feet in a basin of hot water to which you have added a tablespoon of sweet almond oil, lemon juice and a few drops of essential oil of lavender. Relax and wait for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 2: remove dead cells
Start with a special foot scrub. Apply the scrub in circular massages to the entire foot, then rinse. Rub the underside of the still wet feet with a pumice stone to remove the callus and rinse again.
Step 3: cut the nails
Pliers or a nail clipper are suitable for cutting the nails of the feet, which are harder and thicker. Cut them square, but no shorter than your toes to avoid ingrown toenails. To finish, use a file to slightly round the edge of the nails.
Step 4: push back the cuticles
Apply an emollient gel to soften the cuticles, then gently push them back towards the edge of the nails using wooden stick. The cuticles are essential to protect the contour of the nail against possible infections.
Step 5: apply the varnish
First apply a base to protect the nail against the penetration of the varnish pigments and to solidify it. Then, apply the varnish in three quick brush strokes on each nail. Finish with a top coat to prolong the life of your varnish. Consider using a toe separator to prevent smudging!
Step 6: hydrate deeply
Once your nail polish is completely dry, apply a nourishing foot cream and massage to make it penetrate. Once or twice a week, you can use the same cream as a mask: before going to bed, spread a thick layer on your feet then put on socks.
